Home and condo buyers are more confident in buying properties

Finance and Deputy Prime Minister Surapong Suebwonglee has good faith that the property business will grow considerably in the second half of 2008 once the measures issued to stimulate the properties sector start to take effect.
The property sector is considered very important for the government for reviving the economy.
The government’s measures to reduce the ownership transfer fee and specific business tax for people who buy homes and condos will help revive the property market.

The new measures will take effect soon after the royal approval and when they are published in the Royal Gazette.

Once the economic stimulus package is in place then it is expected that there will be more house, condo purchases from the public.This suppose to happen normally during the second half of the year, this also will make it a good year for the supporting industries

It’s expected that the properties business will grow more than 10% in 2008

On the house and condo fair the sales where high up for Supalai Plc  they said that there was a rise up to 30% from sales in condos and houses compaired with January and February in the same period last year Its clear that the confidence of developers,investers and buyers is rising.

On the other hand there will be higher construction costs so it is expected that the prices for houses and condos will go up a little later this year.

Supalai said it would launch 12 projects with a total value of 10 billion baht four of them are planned in greater Bangkok and another four will be on Phuket island.

Shares of Supalai closed higher on 3,74 Baht on Friday 11 april 2008 up from 3,54 Baht a share 3 weeks ago 14/04/2008
